Writers Wanted for Fame, not Fortune! Women’s Edition Magazine in Omaha, NE is looking for freelance writers for topic-defined articles and local interview articles. Beginning compensation is $35 per article.

Women’s Edition is a monthly, glossy stock magazine that targets women 25 to 54+, middle to upper income. We have a very positive, informative format that helps support our advertisers.

All articles are assigned to the writers during the first week of each month. The writers have a two-week deadline to submit their articles.

Topic-defined articles: typically 750–800 words

We assign a specific topic and the writer will research information online. The articles need to be creative, informative, and enticing to promote commerce. The writer does not have to be local.

Local interview articles: 775-800 words

This article requires the the writer to live in the Omaha area. We assign a specific advertiser/business for the writer. The writer will schedule an in-person interview with the business owner. The information collected is basic understanding of the business, why they got into business, and their goals for the future. The writer needs to have a flexible schedule to match up with the advertisers schedule. We prefer the interviews to be scheduled Monday—Friday during typical business hours.
