MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue

81 Bostons taken into rescue in only 3.5 months. It is hailing Boston Terriers and we are not kidding. With only 3.5 months into the new year MABTR has taken in 81 Bostons, 24 in April alone, which is 59% of our total we took in for 2007. In April 2007 we took in a total of 10 dogs for the whole month. On top of that we have 10 more coming in on April 14 who are being released from a breeder in MO ranging from 7 months to 2 yrs old. In 2008 we have over 60% of our dogs coming from breeders.
As of April 12 there are 16 Bostons in foster care.

We are reaching out to YOU for help. With growth comes the need for SUPPORT.

How can you help?
1. Spread the word of our existence. Adopting families and volunteers are NEEDED.

2. We have many dogs of both genders and of all ages (as young as four months and as old as 8 yrs.) needing forever homes. If you are considering adding another Boston to your home or know someone interested in adopting a Boston complete our online adoption application TODAY. It is easy and quick. Go to www.adoptaboston.com and click on Application.

3. Foster homes are needed. The 10 new arrivals will go directly to the vet and stay there until room in foster care opens up. The number of foster homes equates to the number of dogs we can save/rescue at one time. To learn what your role is as a foster parent visit www.adoptaboston.com/fostering.htm.

We are in need of fosters homes in the surrounding areas of Omaha, NE, Kansas City, MO/KS, Colorado, and Des Moines, IA.

4. Crates are in high demand. Have a crate lying around that you are no longer using, know someone with a used crate needing to clear up space, or see a crate at a garage sale. Think about us. Crates are used for transporting, adoptions, and foster care.

5. Even though $money$ is a necessity for us to provide vet care to our rescues unless we have foster homes for dogs to go in to AND families willing to adopt them the money is not needed.
Help us continue to make a difference in the lives of homeless Boston Terriers over the 10 states that MABTR currently cover.
